Date And Time Set For Appointment Of Sheriff

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors will appoint a Sheriff/Coroner Tuesday, Jan 17th to complete the unexpired term of Sheriff Dick Rogers.
Board members set the date today and they can decide to retain Undersheriff Lee Sanford in the position, conduct an open recruitment or appoint an interim Sheriff other than Sanford.
Rogers was advised by his doctors not to return to work after suffering a serious heart attack last month. The discussion and appointment is set for 10:30am.
