Valley Springs Man Arrested For DUI After Striking CHP Vehicle

Valley Springs, Ca — 52-year-old Richard McMillan of Valley Springs was arrested for DUI after striking a California Highway Patrol car that was making a stop on Hwy 12 east of Evans Rd Wednesday night.
“The good news is that there were no injuries and just minor damage to the patrol vehicle,” says CHP Spokesperson Mike Maddox. “It is a reminder to people that you need to be watching at all times because you never know when drunk drivers are going to come at you.”
McMillan was taken into custody without incident. The accident was reported at 7:48pm.
