Empire Resident Charged With DUI Following Accident

Sonora, CA — 48 year old Darren Hagan of Empire was arrested on a “driving under the influence” charge by the Highway Patrol Sunday afternoon following a single vehicle accident on Stanislaus National Forest Rd. 2S13 just north of 2S01 near Pilots Peak west of Yosemite.
Hagan allowed his vehicle to roll down a hillside where the driver´s side of the vehicle struck a large evergreen tree.
Hagan was located by hunters who called 911. He was eventually flown to Memorial North Hospital in Modesto with fractured ribs and spine.
His 1993 Dodge pickup was totaled.
