Portion Of Sonora Pass Will Remain Closed Through Weekend

Sonora, Ca — A portion of Sonora Pass is currently closed, and will remain that way until early next week.
“At this time, Sonora Pass is closed from the Levitt Lake turnoff to Kennedy Meadows due to ice on the roadway,” says Caltrans spokesperson Susan Lent. “The temperatures aren´t warming up, and it is predicted that the inclement weather conditions will continue through Saturday.”
Lent says Caltrans will re-open Sonora Pass Monday morning.
