11th Annual Twain Harte a’la Carte set for May 19

Twain Harte a´la Carte — Twain Harte´s premiere garden party – will take place in downtown Twain Harte on Saturday, May 19.

The eleventh annual food-and-wine tasting celebration benefits the projects of Soroptimist International of Twain Harte. The event, held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Twain Harte´s Meadow Plaza, features food and wines from more than 30 area restaurants and wineries, plus live jazz music, a silent auction and a live auction featuring a variety of unique gifts.

This year´s live auction items include a get-away for two to Disneyland, a handmade quilt, dinner for 8 at McCaffrey House Bed and Breakfast, a Timeshare in Tahoe for 8, many fine wines and more.

The silent auction features gift baskets created by members and dozens of other items including an Elegant Evening (a dinner for two at the Eproson House, 2 Sierra Repertory Theatre tickets and a one-night stay at the McCaffrey House Bed and Breakfast), tickets to sporting events and other special attractions, paintings by local artists, decorative items and a variety of gift baskets and gift certificates for meals, services and more.

All proceeds benefit local Twain Harte Soroptimist club activities. Twain Harte Soroptimists support a variety of projects benefiting women and children in Tuolumne County, including scholarships and awards for youth and women returning to school, community projects, health initiatives, youth activities, programs for the elderly, family shelters, Twain Harte´s schools and more.
