Peace Officer Memorial Set For Courthouse Park

Sonora, CA — Wednesday noon Tuolumne County will honor peace officers killed in the line of duty this year at the Peace Officer Memorial at Courthouse Park.
Richie Grant will be the keynote speaker. Her husband, Sheriff´s Deputy Dave Grant, was killed on Memorial Day, 2004 as a result of a traffic collision while he was en-route to a report of a plane crash at Columbia Airport.
151 federal, state and local law enforcement officers lost their lives in 2006 and California led the nation with 16 fallen officers.
The public is encouraged to attend.
