Katie May Broderick; First Day As Mother Lode Queen

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The “day after” started when her father, Jim, awakened her with the words, “hey, it´s time to get up.”

And that´s the way Day One of Katie May Broderick´s reign as 2007 Mother Lode Queen started. Katie had actually forgotten about being named queen until her father reminded her. She quickly dressed and headed for the Clarke Broadcasting studios where she was interviewed by Big Joe and Lisa Westbrook on Today´s County KKBN and STAR 92.7 by Justin and Maryann.

Then it was off to have the official 2007 Mother Lode Round Up photograph taken prior to her first official event; the Tuolumne County Band Review Wednesday evening at six o´clock at Sonora High School´s Dunlavy Field.

Broderick admitted she was in total shock when Queen Pageant Co-Coordinator Jim Campidonica announced that she would reign as queen for the coming year.

Broderick added that she was very proud of herself and her horse, Too Much, because this was their very first competition.
