Finalists Selected For Y.C.C.D. Chancellor’s Position

Columbia, CA — Two finalists have been named to serve as the Chancellor of the Yosemite Community College District.

The finalists are Dr. D. Roe Darnell, Superintendent-President, Taft College, West Kern Community College District, Taft, CA and Dr. Mark J. Zacovic, currently on administrative leave from his position as Superintendent-President, Mt. San Jacinto Community College District, San Jacinto, CA.

Two public forums have been scheduled in 18 Community Education Room of the Manzanita Building on the Columbia College campus. Monday, April 9, Dr. Mark J. Zacovic will be on hand for the 2-3pm open forum. Dr. D. Roe Darnell will be featured Tuesday, April 10, at the same time and location.

Each finalist will be given an opportunity to discuss his preparation for the position, educational background and leadership philosophy. The candidates will then answer any questions from the forum attendees.

The Yosemite Community College District includes Columbia Community College and Modesto Junior College.
