16 Arrests On St. Patrick’s Day In Calaveras

San Andreas, CA — A report from the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department shows that 16 people were arrested in Calaveras County on Saturday, St. Patrick´s Day.
The breakdown is as follows:
– 2 DUIs
– 2 warrants
– 7 public intoxications
– 2 domestic violence
– 1 parole violation
– 1 possession of methamphetamine
– 1 possession of methamphetamine for sale
Sgt. Dave Seawell says six of the public intoxication arrests were in Murphys where Saturday was the annual Murphys Irish Days celebration.
There were two additional DUI arrests that are not included in the numbers. They took place on Friday and Sunday as a result of CHP´s crackdown on DUI offenders.
