Rockslide Closes Down Murphys Grade Rd…Again

Murphys, CA — Murphys Grade Road at French Gulch is closed due to what is described by Calaveras County Public Works as a “significant rockslide.”
The CHP, Public Works Department and Sheriff´s Deputies are on scene. Murphys Grade has been closed in both directions indefinitely.
You will want to avoid the area. It is the second rockslide reported in that area in the past 24 hours. No injuries have been reported.
