Calaveras Sheriff Hires 7 New Employees

San Andreas CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Office is welcoming seven new employees and will hold a ceremony Tuesday.

During the 8:30 a.m. ceremony Sheriff Dennis Downum will swear in Deputy Sheriff´s Tyson McMahon of Modesto, Joseph Almeida of Auburn, Brian Baker of Yuba City and Michael Oliveira of Danville.

Also newly hired are Correctional Officers Tiffany Quinzer of Lodi and Sarah Basham of San Andreas and Sheriff´s Service Technician Laura Kenyon of Mokelumne Hill.

Before becoming a solo beat deputy, the deputy sheriffs must successfully complete a 16-week training program.
