No Injuries Reported At Cold Springs Fire

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — CAL Fire Emergency Command Center Captain Mark Steward reports there were no injuries to the three residents or to firefighters during the electrical fire that destroyed a $300,000 two story, single family residence on Mariposa Drive in Cold Springs Tuesday morning.

Steward adds that firefighters had a difficult time in accessing the fire because they had to chain up on Hwy 108 before arriving at the site. In addition the roads in the Cold Springs area had not been plowed and firefighters had to dig out the snow in order to access the fire hydrants.

The fire was initially reported at 9:32am and contained at 1:04pm.

Ironically Mariposa Drive was the site of another single family residence that was destroyed by an escaped debris burn April 18th of this year. Cold Springs resident Mark Wainwright was held responsible for that fire.
