Mother Lode Serves Up Thanksgiving Dinners

Sonora, Ca — In honor of Thanksgiving, free dinners are being served up by a number of Mother Lode organizations and churches.
Wednesday evening the Christian Heights Church offered a free dinner comprised of turkey, stuffing, pie and all of the trimmings at a gathering next to the Heart Rock Caf‚.
?We were planning for about 650 and it looks like we will meet that expectation,? says Pastor Craig Andrus. ?We have tons of volunteers from all across the county, and it has been really incredible the amount of volunteerism.?
Additional organizations that offered or will be cooking free meals include Interfaith, the Alano Club, Mother Lode Christian School, Sonora United Methodist Church, Union Congregational Church and others.
