Fire In Calaveras Ranger District Contained

Bear Valley, Ca — The Stand Fire, located southeast of Bear Valley, has been contained at 5.2 acres. The fire near Union/Utica Reservoir and Spicer Reservoir ignited yesterday afternoon.
?Crews have been working all day to mop up any sparks that might be in the interior of the containment line,? says Stanislaus National Forest Spokesperson Pat Kaunert. ?They´ll be back out there tomorrow to finish the mop up and put the fire out.?
The fire is in an isolated area, and no structures were affected by the blaze.
