Delta Blood Bank Launches Flu Shot Program

Sonora, Ca — The Delta Blood Bank of Sonora has begun a program that allows donors between now and November 16 to receive a free flu shot.
?We are looking to basically try and avert the cold and flu season that usually sees declines for blood donations,? says Director of Marketing Annette Mullin. ?We also wanted to try and find a good way to support the community.?
Mullin says that at the time of donation, donors can receive a flu shot coupon and redeem it by setting their appointment with the registrar. Flu shots will be administered by nursing staff from November 17th ? January 9th.
Donors ages 18-85 are eligible, unless they are pregnant or nursing.
