CHP Officer Acted Lawfully In Jamestown Shooting

Sonora, Ca — CHP Officer Eli Dillon has been cleared of any wrongdoing in regards to the shooting of Larry DeRossette Jr. following a robbery attempt in Jamestown back on July 30.
?After reviewing the information and having the crime scene work done by the state Department of Justice, it was clearly determined that the Highway Patrol Officer, in using deadly force, did so in a lawful and reasonable manner,? says Assistant District Attorney Michael Knowles. ?Clearly the suspect pointed a revolver at him, and the officer then used his service weapon to disable him.?
DeRossette´s injuries were not life threatening.
