Supervisors Approve Villa Del Lago Project

San Andreas, CA — By a 3-2 Tuesday vote the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors placed their stamp of approval on the 30 townhome Villa Del Lago project at Tulloch Lake. Supervisors Tom Tryon, Bill Claudino and Merita Callaway voted YES while Board Chair Steve Wilensky and Fifth District Supervisor Russ Thomas voted no.
Thomas stated that, “I was in favor of a maximum of 15 townhomes, certainly not 30.”
The 30 townhomes would replace the current Tulloch Lake Resort. The developer now must seek the approval of Tri-Dam, an agency that operates the lake under a 50 year contract with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
