Body Discovered Floating In Lake Don Pedro

Sonora, CA — Friday evening at approximately seven o´clock a boater contacted the Sheriff´s Office and reported a possible body floating in Lake Don Pedro in the vicinity of Schoolhouse Cove.
The Sheriff Office´s Boating Enforcement Unit, detectives and Lake Don Pedro rangers handled the recovery.
The body may be that of 20 year old Edgar Delacruz of Ceres who disappeared from a house boat party Sunday, May 25 in the same area. He was last seen at approximately 8:30pm when he was on the boat´s deck making a cell phone call.
Deputy Paul Tualla reports a forensic autopsy is being scheduled to determine positive identification and cause of death.
