Lawton To Push Taylor For Interim Community Development Director

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras CAO Bob Lawton is in the process of asking the Board of Supervisors to approve John Taylor as the county´s Interim Community Development Director.

Taylor would replaced Stephanie Moreno but only on an interim basis. That has been agreed upon by both parties.

Lawton says Taylor has 30 years of senior and executive management experience in California´s public and private sectors. Taylor has led two counties (El Dorado and Solano) planning/building agencies. He has also served as a deputy county administrative in two counties.

Lawton adds that should Taylor be approved it will give the county more time to spend on an exhaustive search for a new community development director.

Lawton believes that Taylor´s top priority will be continued work on the county´s general plan.
