Sonora’s Richardson Booked on Burglary Charges

Sonora, CA — 44 year old Sonora resident Sarah Richardson was arrested Thursday evening inside the Ross Dress For Less Department store and booked on charges of burglary and being wanted on a no bail burglary warrant.

Store employees had noticed Richardson leave the store with a full bag of merchandise even though the security alarm was activated. Richardson entered a parked vehicle for a few minutes, emptied the bag and then returned to the store.

Store employees pointed Richardson out to arriving officers. She was immediately taken into custody. Officers recognized Richardson from a similar incident February 7 of last year when she was arrested for burglary at Mervyn´s.

Richardson was found to have $82 worth of stolen merchandise in her possession. She was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
