Slawinsky Photos Released

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County District Attorney Office has given permission to the Sheriff´s Office to release the photos of 28 year old Robert Earl Slawinsky (pictured at right) and 26 year old Paul Curtis Slawinsky (pictured at left).

While first degree murder charges have been filed against the Jamestown brothers, Sheriff´s deputies and investigators are continuing their search for 23 year old Carl Stephen Knight of Hatler Drive in Sonora.

According to Lt. Dan Bressler, investigators believe that the Slawinsky brothers murdered Knight during a Sunday morning (4/6/08) altercation at an undisclosed Jamestown residence.

Initially the Slawinksy brothers were charged with kidnapping and criminal conspiracy and held on $1 million bail in the Tuolumne County Jail. Wednesday (4/9/08) those charges were upgraded to pre-meditated murder by the District Attorney´s office. District Attorney Donald Segerstrom has chosen to make no comment on this case to date.

Next week the California State Office of Emergency Services will be providing state-of-the-art sonar equipment from San Mateo County to aid in the search for Knight believed to be in the Lake Don Pedro area.
