Stockton, CA — Presidential hopeful John McCain appeared at a Thursday afternoon four o´clock rally at the A.G. Spanos Jet Center at the Stockton Airport.

The Arizona senator was greeted by approximately 1,200 well wishers in his campaign to succeed President Bush in the White House.

A Viet Nam POW for more than five years, McCain immediately saluted the many military veterans in attendance.

He warned of the evil of Islamic extremists and stated that he would chase Osama Bin Laden all the way to the gates of hell if he had to in order to catch him.

McCain also stated that he wants desperately to rid Washington, D.C. politics of “pork” as in billions of dollars to farmers who are earning over $200,000 a year.

He stressed the need for ID cards for veterans so they would not have to stand in line to make an appointment to make an appointment.

Following the rally McCain attended a $1,000 a person fundraiser at the home of Alex G. Spanos.
