Courthouse Closure Dates Set

Sonora, CA — Due to California’s continuing budget crisis, dates have now been set for the closure of the Superior Court of California – County of Tuolumne.
Because of a $393 million reduction in the annual budget for the state trial courts for the Superior Court for the County of Tuolumne will be closed on the third Wednesday of each month starting September 16, 2009.
Following September, the Courthouse will be closed October 21, 2009, November 18, 2009, December 16, 2009, January 20, 2010, February 17, 2010, March 17, 2010, April 21, 2010, May 19, 2010 and June 16, 2010.
The closures are estimated to produce a savings of more than $94 million during the remainder of the fiscal year.
