Horse Perishes In Vehicle Vs. Equine Incident

San Andreas, CA — 56 year old Wiley Hutto was involved in a single vehicle accident early Wednesday morning on Hwy 49 near the Glory Hole Center.
At five o’clock it was dark with no overhead lighting. As Hutto approached the Center his attention was temporarily diverted due to a vehicle pulling out of the parking lot and flashing its high beams.
When Hutto looked back at the roadway he saw four large dark red horses and one small dark red pony. With no time to brake Hutto hit and killed one of the horses. He was not injured.
