Phoenix Lake Area Drug Ring Busted

Sonora, CA — Late Tuesday afternoon a drug ring in the Phoenix Lake area was busted by the Tuolumne Narcotics Team along with the Investigations and Operations Division from the Sheriff’s Office.

28 year old Phillip Michael Bancroft and 20 year old Bridget Jean Barling were both arrested and booked into the County Jail on drug and weapons charges in addition to charges of child endangerment. Bail was set at $50,000 apiece.

21 year old Andrew Ray Phillips was found to be in possession of 28.6 grams of marijuana … he was released at the scene with charges referred to the District Attorney’s Office.

Discovered at the Paseo De Los Robles residence: 3.5 ounces of cocaine valued at $2,800, 132 ecstasy pills worth $1,050, $3,636 in cash and a semi automatic handgun.

An 18 month old child living at the residence was placed in protective custody by Child Welfare Services.
