Oysters And Oinkers Fundraiser This Saturday
Oysters and Oinkers is a major annual booster event for the Brett Harte FFA (Futures Farmers of America).
Brett Harte FFA Advisor Carrie Phillips was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
“Our FFA students are active year-round,” said Phillips. “Our students have animal projects and we send our students on fun, educational fun field trips such as the California State FFA Convention in Anaheim and conferences both in and out of state.”
Phillips and several of the Brett Harte FFA students just came back from Las Vegas, where they attended the National Floral Symposium. The students were just one of five teams in the entire national to have won a scholarship to attend the show.
Oysters and Oinkers will take place this Saturday from 5 through 11:30 pm at Broglio Ranch, which is located on 431 Dogtown Road in Angels Camp.
This outdoor event will feature Barrel Cooked Pork Loin & Fresh Barbecued Oysters starting with a no-host cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m..
Following the dinner, there will be live music by Busta-Groove.
Ticket prices are $50 per personwith open seating or $400 per table for 10 reserved seats. All attendees must be 21 and over.
