Ongoing Investigation Following Fatal Accident

Valley Springs, CA — The CHP continues to interview individuals that witnessed this morning’s accident that took the life of seven year old Symon Patelzick of Valley Springs.
Officer Jaime Castillo says the investigation is still preliminary and anyone who saw the accident unfold should contact the CHP Office at 754-3541.
Patelzick was struck by a 1999 Dodge Intrepid driven by 56 year old Michael Driggers while the juvenile was reportedly attempting to cross Camanche Parkway near a bus stop. He was later pronounced dead at Mark Twain Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
