Sonora, CA– PG&E has made significant progress this morning in restoring power to Mother Lode residents affected by the recent winter weather.

According to PG&E spokesperson Jana Morris, just over 2,800 customers in Tuolumne County still remain without power. Around 919 are in Sonora, 1,900 in Twain Harte and a handful of customers in Mi Wuk Village.

In Calaveras County around 1,571 PG&E customers are still without power. In Arnold 1,443 residents do not have power and 130 customers still remain without power in the Westpoint, Hathaway Pines and Dorrington areas.

“We do hope to have a majority of these customers restored in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties by this evening,” said PG&E Spokesperson Jana Morris. “Restoration times span anywhere from about noon to two o’clock this afternoon, all the way until midnight tonight. And it really is dependent upon access issues and the weather. If the weather cooperates, hopefully we’ll get power on sooner than later.”
