Sonora Woman Fatally Injured

Sonora, CA — An elderly Sonora woman died early this morning from injuries sustained in an accident yesterday afternoon on Highway 108 at Via Este.
92-year-old Audrey Vest was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Heather East of Jamestown. The CHP says East was attempting to turn from Via Este to Highway 108 when she was hit by a car driven by 34-year-old Megan Jacka of Sonora.
All three were taken to Doctor’s Hospital in Modesto. Jacka had major injuries and East had moderate injuries. The accident occurred at around 4:40pm.
