Calaveras County Fatality

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County suffered its fifth traffic related fatality of the year Wednesday evening.

At 6:16pm 24 year old Jennifer K. Muller of Mountain Ranch was driving her 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo south on Sheep Ranch Rd. south of Mountain Ranch Rd. when for an unknown reason she made an unsafe turning movement to the right losing control of her vehicle.

The vehicle left the right roadway edge and drove through a fence and subsequently collided with a large tree. While the airbag did deploy Muller was not wearing her seatbelt. She sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

At this time it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in this accident. The investigation is continuing.
