Sonora, CA – Road maintenance crews are remaining busy this afternoon.

Carole Jackson of the Tuolumne County Public Works Department says crews are returning to areas that were cleared earlier today to remove the afternoon snow.

PG&E crews are working to remove trees that have fallen into power lines. Spokesperson Nicole Liebelt says 4,300 customers are currently without power between Calaveras and Amador Counties, with the majority in Arnold.

6,200 customers are without power between Tuolumne and Stanislaus Counties, with a majority in Sonora, Mi Wuk Village and Twain Harte. Liebelt says crews are working as quickly as they can to restore the outages. There is not a timetable for full restoration.
