Chase Ends With Arrest
Jamestown, CA — A Jamestown man was arrested after a 31 mile high speed chase.
Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy Paul Speers recognized 31-year-old Justin Miller traveling westbound on Highway 108 at 5pm on Sunday, and knew that Miller had outstanding warrants for his arrest. When Deputy Speers turned on his emergency lights, Miller accelerated. The chase went along Bell Mooney Road, Jacksonville Road, Highway 120, Old Highway 49 and Marshes Flat Road. The Sheriff’s Office reports that Miller passed several cars, causing some to drive right off the road.
Eventually a citizen driving a truck on Marshes Flat Road tried to block Miller. In an effort to pass, Miller himself drove off the roadway. He was captured and arrested.
Miller had three felony warrants and six misdemeanor warrants. He now faces additional charges of evading a peace officer and driving with a suspended license.
