Denham Speaks On Jobs Report
Washington, D.C — Representative Jeff Denham says it’s time to put people back to work.
With the Labor Department’s recent announcement of the rise in June’s unemployment rate, Congressman Denham said in a statement today:
“In the face of a $14 trillion debt and a 9.2% national unemployment rate, we must reign in spending and provide accountability for the American people. It’s simple, we have the resources to get people working again and we need to use them. With consistent double-digit unemployment in my district, we must maximize domestic energy production, bring water to the Valley, increase our timber harvest and reduce regulatory burdens and get serious about putting people back to work to turn our economy around.”
Denham, a Republican, represents District 19, which includes Tuolumne County.
