Sonora, CA — Three Tuolumne County medicinal marijuana collectives were shutdown today.

Over recent months the Tuolumne Narcotics Team has been investigating Foothill Care Inc. on Mono Way, Today’s Health Collective on Via Este and Alternate Natural Solutions in Chinese Camp. A total of nine arrests were made from the three establishments this morning. A total of 17 search warrants were issued.

The arrests were made because the collectives were allegedly selling marijuana for profit rather than collectively cultivating marijuana for medicinal purposes. The names of those arrested are not immediately available.

Sgt. Craig Davis of TNT estimates that around 1,000 people were registered to purchase marijuana at the three locations.

The users supplied a medicinal marijuana card or prescription. Individuals that purchased marijuana at the three locations do not face any legal charges. The investigation was carried out by the Sheriff’s Office, CHP, Sonora PD, Board of Equalization, State Parole and District Attorney’s Office.
