Lungren’s Bill Aims To Help Small Businesses

Sponsored by:

Washington, DC — Congressman Dan Lungren is hoping to repeal legislation that will soon require small businesses that purchase over $600 in goods per year to submit a 1099 tax form to the IRS.

“The engine of our economy is small business, and we cannot afford to do anything that would stall our economic recovery,” says Lungren. “We should be supporting policies that contribute to job growth, not imposing yet another new government mandate on the backs of small business owners.”

The District Three Republican is an author of “The Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act.” He says that 245 members of Congress have endorsed the legislation, including 12 Democrats.
