Constitutional Forum: Liz Bass Vs David Sheppard

Retired City of Sonora Administrator Greg Applegate, will moderate a 10th Amendment showdown this Friday night between Liz Bass and David Sheppard.

Bob Fulcher, President and Founder of TC FACTS was Wednesday’s KVML "Newsmaker of the Day".

TC FACTS stands for Tuolumne County Following Americas Constitution In Todays Society.

The mission of this society is to "teach people the facts regarding the Constitution of the United States and to ensure that those elected to public office, at the local, state or federal level, are conservative and believe in a constitutional, democratic form of government: our republic".

With the recent anniversary of the 10th Amendment, TC FACTS will host a forum of ideas surrounding the Amendment and what effect it has on the citizens and businesses of Tuolumne County.

This forum, entitled "Community Constitutional Forum", is planned as the first in a series of forums to be presented.

The event will take place in the Tuolumne County Supervisors Chambers at 2 South Green Street in Sonora on Friday, January 14th. The doors will open at 5pm and the forum will begin at 5:30pm.

The forum will feature two ideological viewpoints. The Conservative viewpoint will carried by Sonora City Mayor Pro-Tem, David A. Sheppard and the Progressive viewpoint provided by Tuolumne County Supervisor District 1 – Chair Elizabeth (Liz) Bass.

The questions to be asked at the forum will be provided to the speakers in advance of the event. The forum is expected to adhere to a time schedule and should last for no more than 1 ½ hours. The public will not be allowed to ask questions.

Water and a light refreshments will be available to the public while they last. The event will be video recorded and the video will be displayed on the TC FACTS website http://www.tcfacts.com

The "Newsmaker of the Day" is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
