Medical Center Offers Funding For Community Health Projects
San Andreas, CA — A Mother Lode hospital says its grant application season is now open for community health benefit project proposals.
Mark Twain Medical Center officials confirm that now through June 28, the 2020 Dignity Health Community Grants Program is soliciting 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations or those who can affiliate with one capable of serving as the funding administrator to submit letters of intent.
As the grants are designed to support nonprofits that work together to address community health needs, particularly those that focus on underserved populations, proposals must be collaborations with three other local organizations and may be linked to MTMC.
This grant cycle just under $33,000 is available in grant award monies. However, project or program proposals must relate to health priorities Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) has identified in its most current Community Health Assessment and Community Benefit plan.
Hospital documents specify the significant community health needs MTMC is currently helping address that were identified in its assessment are access to primary and specialty care; mental health; diabetes; heart disease; stroke; also health education.
