Calaveras County Drowning

Valley Springs, CA — A Calaveras County man died in a drowning at Hogan Lake.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office reports that it happened in the Wrinkle Cove area. The man is identified as 20-year-old Isaias Zurita of Valley Springs.
When the first responders arrived, Zurita was already out of the water and people on scene were administering CPR. He was flown to UC Davis, where he was later pronounced dead. It is not immediately known what led to the drowning. It happened on Tuesday evening at around 7:15pm.
