Angels Camp Burn Permits?

Sponsored by:

Angels Camp, CA — At the Angels Camp City Council meeting Tuesday Fire Marshal Nathan Pry will ask for a Public Hearing on a new ordinance regulating debris burning within the city limits.

If approved, permits to burn in Angels Camp would be made available for free at the fire station and city hall. The permits would stipulate the size of the pile, and burning hours would follow the state guidelines for the incorporated areas of the county.

Pry is proposing health and safety ordinance 452 because Angels Camp does not currently have any debris burning laws. According to Pry, “We need to have some way to control the burning that is going on in the city.”

According to Pry this ordnance will give the city fire department the option to investigate debris burns and enforce the new rules.

Pry will ask the Angels Camp City Council to set a Public Hearing about the issue for March 6th.
