Update at 7:54am: Firefighters have knocked down the flames on a house fire in the 7900 block of Goodell Road in Calaveras County. Mop-up operations will continue throughout the morning. Additional details are below.
Original story posted at 7:40am: San Andreas, CA — Fire officials are on the scene of a residential structure fire in Valley Springs.
The fire is in the 7900 block of Goodell Road near the intersection of Rancho Paloma Road. First responders could see a fire visible from the home with heavy smoke coming from the attic area. Thankfully the occupants were able to get out of the home safely. Be prepared for activity in the area. It is not immediately clear what ignited the blaze.
