Chicken Ranch Casino’s 8th Annual Community Dinner

Sponsored by:

Chicken Ranch Casino will host the 8th annual free community dinner this Friday, December 21, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Lloyd Mathiesen, Tribal Chairman of the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Mi-Wuk Indians, was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

The event is open to families and is free to everyone who wishes to join for an evening of great food and community as well as a visit from Santa.

In years past, the Community Dinner has seen upwards of 1,200 individuals sharing in the holiday celebration and enjoying a full warm “Thanksgiving-style” meal at the Casino. It will take place inside the “old” Bingo Hall. The new Bingo Hall opened next door, earlier this month. Reservations are not needed.

Preparations for the large-scale free event have been in the works for several weeks with Mathiesen personally looking forward to this festival of family, food and friends.

“The holidays are a time for all of us to celebrate with the ones we love and our community and share in some good food and smiles,” said Mathiesen. “The Community Dinner is our way of providing the public an opportunity to do the same, if they are otherwise unable.”

Chicken Ranch Casino is privately owned and operated by the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Band of Me-Wuk Indians with over 175 employees from the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada’s Motherlode.

Call 209-984-3000 and ask for the Marketing department for more information.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard every weekday morning at 6:45, 7:45 and 8:45 on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML.
