Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people after receiving reports of gunshots and screaming at a Jamestown mobile home park.

It happened over the extended holiday weekend during the nine o’clock hour in the evening at the Twin Pines Mobile Home Park. The sheriff’s office reports that 54-year-old Gary Riley Barton III was inside the home with a gun and shot toward an embankment outside. Spokesperson Sgt. Andrea Benson notes that Barton admitted to being addicted to methamphetamine, and was in possession of the drug, at the time of the alleged crime. There were two other people inside the residence with Barton. One of them, 24-year-old Kennedy Marie Barton, is a convicted felon and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and ammunition. They were both arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail.
