Rowdy Concert Goer Arrested For Battery

Sponsored by:

Murphys, CA – No it was not a heavy metal concert and there was no mosh pit, but one concert goer brawled with security to retain a better view of the bands than her ticket allowed.

The concert was at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys on Sunday night. Taking the stage was Foreigner, Queensryche and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening. It’s not clear which band was on stage when the fight broke out, but one thing became crystal clear – alcohol was involved.

Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisting security when just before midnight they got a call to help with a combative patron.  Security details that 56-year-old Regana Beasley from Blue Ridge, Georgia became angry. She allegedly started yelling and even bit a guard when asked to leave seating closer to the stage because she did not have a ticket for that section.

She did the same thing to one of the deputies when he tried to handcuff her. Determining Beasley was drunk; she was subsequently arrested. She faces two felony charges of battery: one with serious bodily injury and the other for attacking a peace officer. The other charges were misdemeanors for resisting arrest and alcohol related disorderly conduct.

Sheriff’s officials relay that both the security guard and deputy were treated for their bite wounds as they had broken the skin.
