Update: Vegetation Fire On J-59 In Tuolumne County Contained
Update at 4:15 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports that air and additional resources have been called off what has been dubbed the “Bond Fire” as it has been contained. She adds that there where two blazes that broke out along J-59/La Grange Road, one a half mile west of Bonds Flat Road and the other near the House Boat Mini Mart & Café. Both have been extinguished at a total of two acres, according to Kilgore. Crews will continue to mop up and check for hotspots for the next hour. What sparked the blazes is under investigation.
Original post at 3:55 p.m.: Tuolumne County, CA — Columbia Air and firefighters are heading to a vegetation fire in the Lake Don Pedro area near the House Boat Mini Mart & Cafe. CAL Fire reports the flames are along J-59/La Grange Road and Bonds Flat Road in Tuolumne County. There is no word on the fire’s size or the flame’s rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened . We will bring your further details as soon as they come into the news center.
