Missing Calaveras County Woman Found

Knights Ferry, CA – An missing 82-year-old Calaveras woman was found safe and sound after a passing motorist recognized her vehicle from an issued “Silver Alert” description while driving along Highway 108 in Tuolumne County Friday afternoon.
As reported here Friday, Hazel Kleine was last seen driving her Volvo station wagon in the Arnold area on Thursday. The alert went out due to a medical condition that can cause her to become disoriented. The CHP reports a caller tipped them off that he saw that vehicle with an elderly woman driving very slowly along the highway in the Knights Ferry area.
An officer located the vehicle near Rushing Hill Lookout Road. Behind the wheel was Kleine, unharmed, but a bit confused.
