The Motherlode continues to celebrate fall and Halloween, here are details about many of the activities hosted locally.

The Hi 4-H Realms of Darkness, 4-H Haunted House performs tonight and thru the weekend plus Monday and Tuesday, Halloween night.

Friday the two-day annual Fall Craft Festival at Murphys Diggins Clubhouse begins, there is also a one day only Fall Festival at Curtis Creek Elementary benefiting the 6th grade Science Camp with  food games and more. In Downtown Sonora on Friday the New Life Bible Church is also hosting a free Harvest Festival.

Saturday and Sunday the Mother Lode Fairgrounds will host the 9th annual All Hallows Fantasy Faire. The Celtic New Year’s Celebration features entertainers including live bands, vendors, the Burning of the Harvestman Saturday night, Halloween creatures, costumes, and decorations. Saturday get your 2017 Humane Society of Tuolumne County Pawliday Portraits in Jamestown and while in Jamestown stop by the Mill Villa Estate Senior Mobilehome Craft Show and Jamestown Elementary’s Harvest Festival.  In Calaveras, the Master Gardeners will host an Open Garden & Plant Sale, in Arnold will be the Seasons in the Woods 5th Annual Craft Faire, and there is a Masquerade Ball in the Mountain Ranch Community Hall.

On Saturday there is also the Columbia Elementary Annual Halloween Carnival, a Monster Mash at MYACT in Sonora, and Boo Boulevard and the Illumination of the Jack-O-Lanterns in Columbia State Park. Harvest Days conclude at Indigeny this Saturday with hay rides, outdoor games, a corn maze, face painting, local food and vendors. More details are here and the last of the “Harvest Haunt” train rides at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park will run with this week’s theme Witches & Wizards. The Sonora Moose Lodge is also hosting a Halloween Casino Night Fundraiser on Saturday.

Don’t forget to catch a local theater show, the Glass Menagerie will be performed at Sierra Repertory Theatre and the Rocky Horror Picture Show fundraiser/party will start at 10PM with the movie playing at midnight at Murphys Creek Theater.

Sunday enjoy the Sonora Bach Festival Bach’s Brunch at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, in Sugar Pine and the Fall Family Fun Night at the Sierra Bible Church or the Family HarvestFest at Christian Heights Church in Sonora.
