With recent high country weather alerts posted here, there is even more reason to enjoy a few events in town this weekend. Tomorrow is Jamestown’s First Friday Art Walk and Friday is also the Angels Camp Farmers Market at Utica Park from 5 p.m. until dusk. The farmers market includes craft vendors, food, live music and more sponsored by the Angels Camp Business Association.

As detailed here, this Friday night is the 20th annual Magic of the Night in Downtown Sonora.

Saturday morning from 7:30 until 11:30 a.m is the City of Sonora’s Certified Farmers Market located a block off of Washington Street at Theall and Stewart streets.

At noon on Saturday, in Mariposa, have a meal and support the Detwiler Fire BBQ Benefit Fundraiser.

Other weekend events include several local theater performances: “Hamlet” at Brice Station Vineyards, The Great American Trailer Park Musical at the East Sonora Theater, Underpants by Stage 3 at the Sonora High School Auditorium.

In Twain Harte celebrate All Saints & St Josephs Friends & Family BBQ & Bazaar or join the In his service, Men’s breakfast at the Foothill Community Church in Angels Camp. Later in the day the Foothill Community church will host Workshops for All Things Operation Christmas Child.

For a real test you can participate in the 6th Annual Glenn Bass Cross Country Run at Columbia College this Saturday.

Also on Saturday, at the Aronos Club in Sonora, enjoy a Rummage Sale or participate in the 11th Annual Stuff The Bus School Supply Driveat the Sonora Walmart. The Summerville Parent Nursery School in Tuolumne is having aChildren’s Yard Sale as well.

Enjoy learning out of the classroom with History’s Mysteries in Columbia State Park or Old Timers Museum walking tour of Murphys.

Saturday you can also join the UCCE Tuolumne County Master Gardeners at their Open Garden Day

In Valley Springs on Saturday attend the 1st Annual Calaveras Wine,Cheese and Olive Festival.

If you have been in the area over 60 years head to the Tuolumne County Posse Grounds off Rawhide Road in Jamestown for the 70th Birthday Bash RoundUp for SHS Graduates. As always there is a great time to be had at the Twain Harte Concerts in the Pines Saturday evenings at Eproson Park in Twain Harte.
