T.U.D. To Hear Update On Supply And Vote On CEQA Exemption
Sonora, CA — The snow readings for the watershed to Pinecrest Lake are about double the normal reading level for this time of year, according to documents leading up to today’s Tuolumne Utilities District Board of Directors meeting.
T.U.D. anticipates both Lyons Reservoir and Pinecrest to be full through June, or potentially later, so there are no concerns about water supply this summer and into fall. It is a much different scenario than what has been experienced during recent drought years when mandatory cutbacks were required. The details regarding supply will be discussed at today’s 2pm meeting.
The board will also vote on a California Environmental Quality Act Notice of Exemption for a tree removal project at the district’s Columbia College Lift Station. T.U.D. has received state funding to remove hazard trees that pose a threat to its infrastructure, and the state is allowing CEQA exemptions to expedite the work.
In addition, the board will vote on approving a contract with the developer of the Les Schwab Tire Center in Standard for the construction and transfer of a main water line extension. T.U.D. is anticipating to receive sewer and water fees in the amount of $19,706.
