A woman was arrested following an incident that put two people and herself in area hospitals. The accident happened Saturday evening on Hwy 26 at the Campo Seco Turnpike. Nicholas Moore, a 21 year old from West Point, was driving his 1998 Toyota Truck at 55-60 miles per hour with passenger Roger Taylor 23, of Valley Springs, in the truck. The CHP report states the weather was warm and clear. While Moore was adjusting his stereo, he drove over the double yellow lines into the westbound lane and collided head-on with Kelli Eichler’s truck.

Eichler is a 50 year old from Valley Springs, it is unclear how fast she was going but the injuries she and Moore sustained were described as major.

Moore and his passenger Taylor, who’s injuries were minor, were taken to Mark Twain Medical Center. Eichler was arrested for DUI and then transported by ambulance to Sutter Amador Hospital.
