A Head-on Crash In Calaveras County

West Point, CA – One person was flown from the scene suffering major injuries after a head-on collision on Highway 26 in West Point.
The crash happened around 2:15 p.m. on the highway near Higdon Road. The CHP directed one-way traffic control for a short time as tow crews removed the wreckage and debris on the roadway. The highway was completely reopened around 3 p.m.
No further information on the accident has been released from the CHP, which reports the crash is under investigation.
